A day will come when only Gandhis will remain in Congress: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said one day will come when everyone will leave the Congress party and only Gandhis will remain in the party.

Talking to reporters in Guwahati, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “In 2015, I wrote the similar letter which Ghulam Nabi Azad has written today to Congress president Sonia Gandhi. The issue is still there in the Congress party and ‘a day will come when everyone will leave the Congress party and only Gandhis will remain in the party,”.

“Everybody knows Rahul Gandhi as an immature, whimsical, and unpredictable leader. The Congress president Sonia Gandhi is not taking care of the party, basically all this year she is only promoting her son but that is a futile activity and due to that people who are loyal to the Congress party are deserting the party,” CM Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted.

He further added, “Rahul Gandhi is an enhancement for us. If you compare, the BJP leaders are miles ahead from him. There are many issues in Congress party due to that many leaders are quitting the party,”.

Veteran Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has quit the Congress party with sharp jabs at the Gandhis.
