Kaziranga National Park will reopen for tourists from October 21 after being shut down since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the monsoon season.
Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve will be opened for the current tourist season on October 21, 2020. The opening ceremony will commence from 11 am onwards. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam will grace the occasion,” declared KNP’s official social media handle.
Every year domestic and international tourists throng in Kaziranga National Park in large numbers for its famous one-horned rhinos.
In September, the Assam government had approved the expansion of the park totalling to 3,053 hectares.
