Assam: Revival of state’s economy; CM interacts through video conferencing

Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal holds video conferencing with all the executives and district committee members of the Assam Chamber of Commerce.

Sonowal assured all possible help to the entrepreneurs and businessmen.

The meeting comes at a time when speculations over the economic condition of the state are doing rounds among people. The imposition of Lockdown 3.0 has brought in certain relaxations for the green zone districts of the state; though business and entrepreneurial aspects are yet to regain strength.

Rupam Goswami, Chairman of Assam Chamber of Commerce (ACC), present with the Chief Minister at the meeting held, says, “Our 33 district committee presidents have attended in the video conferencing.”

Goswami added, ” As the chairman of the central committee, I am thankful to Honorable CM for taking this initiative to discuss about the revival of the state’s economy, at this hour of crisis. It was around a 45-minute session.”

Kalita continues, “We have been facing problems due to Coronavirus lockdown, yet are with the government in this hour of crisis.”

“The meeting held by the Chief Minister is of immense importance, as economic activities have been badly hit due to the lockdown and COVID-19 outbreak. It is a welcome step by the CM.”, says Abhideep Choudhury, Vice-President of Assam Chamber of Commerce (ACC).
