Child environmentalist Licypriya Kangujam to help Assam flood victims

Child environmentalist from India Licypriya Kangujam will spend her school summer vacation in Assam to help the flood victims.

Assam has been reeling under a massive flood for the last several days. 32 districts of the state has been affected due to the flood. Many places are still under water and people have taken refuge in relief camps.

“On the way to Assam to help the flood victims. This is how I will spend my school summer vacation. Due to violence & floods, my train was cancelled multiple times. Finally, I will travel on different trains from Delhi to Agra, then to Lucknow and last to Guwahati. It’s a very risky journey. Pray 4 me!”Licypriya Kangujam tweeted.

Licypriya Kangujam is a child environmental activist from India. She is one of the youngest climate activists globally and has addressed world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2019 (COP25) in Madrid, Spain asking them to take immediate climate action.

Licypriya Kangujam hails from Manipur.
