Cloudburst triggers flash flood in Arunachal Pradesh

On Thursday, around 15 private residence and large areas of crop lands were damaged after cloudburst triggered with flash floods and landslides which occured at around 9.930 am at Leparada district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Overflowing waters of the Hie and the Kidi rivers entered houses, damaged properties and submerged many paddy filed in the low-lying areas of the state.

No casualty has been reported so far from the district. All the people staying in the low-lying areas have been evacuated to safer places.

According to reports, some of the people were shifted to the government secondary school while others have left to stay with relatives.

For last couple of days incessant rain has caused massive flood in low laying areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
