Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday went on to promote local made goods ahead of Diwali. He encouraged the local artisans and appealed the people to buy local goods in Diwali.
Deb met with the local artisans and local workers at his government residence.
CM Deb met with SHGs (Self Help Group) members and enquired about their problems in marketing their products.
“Let us celebrate our favourite festival Diwali by going local. Inspired by the clarion call by PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, let us extend our full support for local artisans & businesses,” said Deb.
“When the entire world is reeling in the darkness of COVID-19, let each of us come together to light a lamp of hope and resilience in the homes of our local artisans and weavers,” he added.
Moreover, he also appealed the people to become ‘vocal for local’ and encourage the local goods instead of using foreign goods.
