Union Home Minister Amit Shah takes stock of Indo-Bangla border

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday visited Mankachar, Sahapara border outpost to take stock of the Indo-Bangla border.

Shah arrived at the Sahapara border outpost at around 11 am on Monday by a helicopter from Guwahati. He landed at Kamakhyabari helipad at the Assam-Meghalaya border.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took stock of the border development at Sahapara BOP.

Shah later interacted with the top officials of BSF and asked them to keep a strong vigil on Indo-Bangla border.

The Union Home Minister will inaugurate the census office and an SSB building at Amingaon, near Guwahati this evening.

He will also inaugurate a super speciality hospital and the National Forensic Sciences University in Guwahati.

On Tuesday, the home minister will inspect the ceremonial parade of the Assam Police, interact and have lunch with officers and jawans of the Assam Police at its headquarters, officials said.

In the afternoon, he will grace a function organised in Guwahati on the occasion of one year of the Himanta Biswa Sarma government, before laying the foundation of the police commissionerate building in the city.
