Two member PMO team to rush to Dehradun on Wednesday to prepare Dhami’s report card and record complaints by MLAs, MPs, and state ministers
Uttarakhand CM PS Dhami has a penchant for attracting political trouble. With three cabinet rank ministers of Uttarakhand having lodged a complaint with PM Narendra Modi against Dhami’s arrogant style of functioning, the young CM is once again in the eye of a storm. The complaint by the three UK stalwarts comes close on the heels of several MLAs and two MPs having taken up the same issue with PMO and BJP national chief JP Nadda.
Dhami, who was camping in Delhi for the last three days, has already been given a warning by none other than Nadda himself today. Political sources said that Hirak Singh Rawat, who is the state opposition leader and had crossed over to the Congress just before the last assembly elections, is already spreading his tentacles and successfully wooing MLAs of the ruling BJP.
Top party sources confirmed that PM himself has taken a lot of interest in the matter and instructed two of his close confidantes to move immediately to the hill state and camp in Dehradun to assess the political situation and prepare a report from ground zero. The two-member team will be in Dehradun on Wednesday and shall meet the three cabinet ministers who have been sulking and have complained to the PM. The team will also meet the MLAs and MPs who have openly charged Dhami with incompetence, arrogance, and corruption.
Before the volcano of dissidence erupts any further, PMO has taken this step to see if the situation can still be salvaged.
